I am going to buy a new ATV soon and I am trying to decide on either the big bear/eiger/honda. I have never owned an ATV before but rode a few. Could I get some opinions on these bikes. Thanks.

In the Dirtwheels shootouts the Honda beat the Big Bear and the Eiger beat the Honda.

'course, I may be biased. But I did look at all of these before I made my choice.

Hey NEWFIE
I'm from St. John's also. I bought the honda 350 about 2 weeks ago....i've had quads before...but i spent the last couple of months reading atv reviews, reading these forums, and riding the big bear, eiger, and the honda 350. .. (my friends have the eiger and the big bear)..i was tempted to buy the big bear, but in the end the honda won out....what kind of riding do you do?....if you spend most of it on trails with a little open ground speed every now and then, then i have already done the legwork for you!!...clearance, 9.7 inches, speed, 51 mph (so they say)...smooth enough...anything else you wanna know about the 350?...if i had the choice again, i would still get the honda.

Thanks for the replys! The Kodiac is a little too much money. I'm on a budget. I like the all three but Money will be a factor. I would probley go with the EIGER but I'm not sure about reliablity and so on. Any more suggestions. Thanks again!! Great forum and lots of info!!!!!!!!

Have you checked the prices yet?...from what i remember, you can get the kodiak cheaper than the honda 350 if you push the price with the salesman...you can bargain with yamaha, but it's a lot tougher to bargain with Honda!!..so if you decide the kodiak is what you want, i would try bargaining with yamaha...this is if you're are buying in st. john's....before i even asked any questions, yamaha had offered me about $1000 bucks off the big bear.

I checked the prices:
big bear $7800.00 + tax
honda $7600.00 + tax
eiger $6795.00 + tax
These are all canadian prices.

Yep...my 350 was $7600, but i got it for $7500!!!....WOW!!!.. they gave me seat for free...priced $330 plus tax....but when i was at Yamaha on Kenmount Road, the price of the big bear was $7800, but without even asking a question they offered me about $1000 off....and a winch comes with the big bear...but in the end i chose honda anyway...i just think that they are the most reliable...but that's only my opinion.
