What 4-stroke sport?
#1
I am now looking for something different to ride. I will be keeping my TB and adding something Next Spring.
I want something 4 stroke, 5 Speed, reverse doesn't matter, easy to jump, fast and able to make faster. I am looking at a top of around 65 and capable of going 75 or so.
I know what i really need is a 400EX. I wasn't impressed with the 300EX, but i'm trying out a 400EX this weekend.
What else is out there?
How is the warrior? I've seen them around but never rode with one. What is the top-end? Can it be brought up with a pipe, jets, and airbox mods?
Thanks all

Sounds like you need a 400EX. It is the best in every category you mentioned.
Rear wheel Horsepower levels.
400EX - about 28
300EX - about 16.5
350 Warrior - about 17
Keep in mind that a new 400EX's throttle will probably be mis-adjusted only allowing for 60~70% throttle opening. Easily corrected for substantial gains though. Mail me if you need info... gellett@earthlink.net

86atc250r: Nice pics & video! I am planning on going to Little Sahara later this month or in April.
97TrailBlazer: I hear you can get close to 50 HP out of a 400EX $$$. Depending on the type of riding you do, a DS650 might be something to look at. Do you mean Spring 2000 or 2001? I have a feeling we will have more/different sport models to choose from this Fall.

Thanks!
We are planning a trip this spring as well, no firm date though. I believe the natives are getting restless, so I may have to schedule it soon
Your DS should be right at home out there! I wished my 400 had a little more HP (the sand really sucks it away), but it would have just gotten me into trouble (need more/better suspension first!)
