I am looking to buy a new ride but i'm not sure which to buy!!!!

I have found a Eiger AUTO 4x4 FOR 5077 out the door and it is my local dealer....about 10 miles for home....

BUT I have found a VINSON AUTO 4x4 FOR 5599 out the door but the dealer in about 4 hours away ....

For that small of difference, I would say go with the Vinson.

It's twice the machine of the Eiger and would be easier to sell when you decide to buy again.

I would say the same thing "for that small of a difference, go for the Vinson." But to say its TWICE the machine of an Eiger....?????? My buddy has a Vinson and its nice (except for the minor shifting problems it had) But its not twice the machine I have (02 Eiger 4x4 Auto).

when you go to sell you are going to get at least 500 more out of an equal age/condition Vinson than the Eiger so in the long run the vinson will be cheaper.

Spdrcr24,

Are you dead set on the two rides listed or have you looked outside of those makes and models......one thing for sure, ride as many ones as you can so you can make a sound decision on what you are buying and then and only then make the best deal you can.

I know you are in Alabama but I would call the Hitching Post out of Minneapolis for what they would do for you since I just got a Polaris 600 Twin for $1600 less than MSRP. I will save $1300 even after paying $300 shipping...thats alot of donero in my book. It just means I can buy more for the ride...ride on

Ramg66,

I wouldn't expect an Eiger owner to agree. I knowalot more than you give me credit for.

I gave you a "1" rating for that cheapshot.

Later

I've always promoted the Eiger but as everyone else is saying - For only $500 you're getting a lot more ATV. I think the MSRP diferance between the Eiger and the Vinson is normally about $1,100 or so. If you can come up with the extra half-grand, I'd go for the Vinson.

Knowsalot,

I know you know your ****, but if your going to talk smack back it up! I expected for you to tell me why it was twice the machine, instead you went and rated me a 1.....LMAO. I just tell it like it is.

BTW I test drove both, I wish I could afford the Vinson but to say its twice the machine is a bit off.

[1] Liquid cooling *versus* aircooled

[2] Rear Hydraulic Disc Brake *versus* Mechanical drum

[3] Adjustable front and rear suspension *versus* No adjustability at all

[4] Alot more power in the Vinson and it only weighs 14 pounds more than the Eiger

[5] Vinson has a tighter turning radius than the Eiger

[6] Vinson is almost 2 inches wider than the Eiger for better stabilty

These differences may not make a big difference in most buyers decision to buy one or the other, but in MY opinion, these differences are big and far between and I think the Vinson offers the best features.

Thats why I feel it's twice the machine than the Eiger. Obviously, you don't and that's okay because obviously, you are happy with your ride and that's the only thing that matters in the long run.

I wasn't talking smack. Just stating MY opinion. That's the purpose of this forum. The smack talk came when you called me "Exagerratesalot". Maybe I am......maybe I'm not. It's all good.

Have a good weekend.
