I am looking for a sport quad. Maybe a blaster or a 250 ex. I heard that the 250 ex is a waste of money and that a blaster is faster. Would a blaster be my size or should i look at something else?

i am 5'7" and 180 lbs and i fit the blaster just fine. in fact its a ball to ride.
with a few mods you can really make it scream, and since they been around a long time, they are everywhere. it surprises people cuz tey think it's akiddy quad...it's not! hehe
i you want to know more about blasters, just ask! i love mine!

barr,
If it was me I would get the blaster first and get that under the seat of my pants and then worry about the pipe.
12 years old and I would assume your a light weight, you will be as fast as someone who is much heavy that has there blaster piped. Power to weight issue here.
Stock a blaster will do just a tad over 50mph. Its scary up there on a blaster though, one mistake and you have lost it.

and most ppl very rarely run wide open. the blaster is a six speed so its easy to keep in the power, and its light weight. The popular pipe right now seems to be the Toomey B1, which comes as a kit.
its the pipe, silencer, air filter, new jets, crossbar pad cover, everything you need to do the job, not half of it like many other brands. the quality is excellent, and the toomey guys stand behind their products. Another good mod would be different tires and rims. the stockers are so-so- you can do much better.
oh yeah, and dont even sit on it without a helmet!!! cant stress that enuf. if the blaster decides to ride you, you will need it.
