The answer is Arctic Cat 400.
Polaris is too heavy/I had 99 Sp500 I'd buy it again if it was 600 lb,/USA!/, Kodiak is everything I'd need, unfortunately NO IRS, and the Grizzly is more than 400cc's. And that's a problem. TOOOOO much power, toooo tippy , toooooo fast, a seat is toooo high, the gas is too"crazy" ... all those things are no good ..........according to my wife.
She want a small 4x4 with not too much power, low seat and comfy ride. There's only one machine on the market available for her ...003-AC 400 auto with IRS. She is a pretty good rider, but she likes to be in c o n t r o l all the time...
Bombardier has the Highlander model for 003, but I don't like its skid plate/bottom protection/.And i don't know , how effective is their 4x4 system.....??

When I was looking at them last spring, my impression was that the Cats sat a bit higher than the Polaris, at least the 500HO I looked at seemed a bit lower. That's one of the reasons I ended up getting a Cat, I wanted to sit up high. I ended up with a 500i, but as I recall, the only difference between the 400 and 500 is the engine, chassis is identical. Neither the Cat nor the Polaris is particularly light, though my Cat steers lighter than my old 350 Big Bear - go figure.
The steering is extremely light, she should like that. My wife is 5'2, she has no problem running the 500i. I passed on the grizz because it was just too expensive, dealers piled on the extra charges until it was $1300 more than I ended up paying for my Cat. The grizz was nicer, but it wasn't that much nicer.
Oh, and the Cats have disc brakes all around...
