Ds 250

I have a 2006 can am ds 250 my problem is no spark or very little spark, i have replaced cdi, ignition coil, my battery is completly dead so im been jumping it off, i will get new battery soon but does anyone know where i can look to try and resolve this spark problem? I heard people say check ground points? but i can only find 2 one on the motor and one on the right rear next to where battery sits underneath plastic, If anyone has any electrical schematics of this quad please post it.

I don't know about the 250, but the 650 will not run if you don't have a good battery. You can't rely on the rectifier to produce enough power to dump into a dead battery and feed the CDI unit. Completely take the dead battery out of the loop, replace with a car battery and jumper cables if you have to, and test if you have good voltage while it's running. You should have around 13.6 V or so at idle and more than 14V if you rev it up. Also, it should not go above about 14.8 volts, or that is a sign the the rectifier is bad as well.
if it runs and you have good voltage, you simply need to replace your battery. If you don;t have good charging voltage, then you need a new rectifier.

So i took my atv to my uncles auto shop, he looked at it he said the plug isnt getting any power the spark plug will put out a spark every now and then but it isnt a consitent spark needed to run the engine so he was thinking maybe it is a fuse link in the harness? anyone know if there are any fuse links on this quad, also when he had his power probe hooked up to it showed both the positive and negative connections on the ignition coil as ground? no volts
