no ds for me

Obvious you stand by your "opinion" regardless of all the speculation and hindsight. It’s also apparent that your belief is completely one sided to whatever ATV you personally own. Have you ever ridden a DS? Regardless if the DS is or is not “the best” it is still one hell of a bike, filled with torque, agility, superb ergonomics, and outstanding suspension. If you are unable to perceive or agree on any of those you are obviously an ignorant, pompous, and mindless twit. And I'm sure everyone in here will agree with me on the above “facts”.

I HAVE RODE A DS 650 AND THEY ARE "NOT" AS GOOD OF BIKE EVERYONE SAYS THEY ARE. IT DOESNT HAVE ALL THE POWER THAT PEOPLE SAY. I WOULD RATHER BUY A BLASTER FOR HALF THE PRICE AND HALF THE WEIGHT AND PUT A FEW GRAND IN IT INSTEAD OF BUYING A BIG UGLY YELLOW SLUG. BOMBARDIERS SUCK!!!

Regardless of other peoples opinions of the DS's power, according to the spec sheet it has MUCH MORE torque and horsepower than your Honda. Also, according to every review on the DS (including Dirt Wheels, ATV Action, and 4-Wheeler magazines) the DS suspension and ergonomics are far more advanced than that of any other production ATV. Sorry but your say means absolutely nothing because the owners and the media both like the DS so expect it to stay.

I will sell you my DS. And to show you how much I don't like it I only want $8500 for it. I was impressed with mine driving it in the dealer parking lot. When I got it home it ran good. Then post purchase partum depression set in. Did I buy a good machine? Why did it have some problems from the factory? It is a new model and those things happen. Why are swingarm bolts coming out of warriors and banshees when they are new or newer? (I know of 2 instances). As for the "heavy" comment, I am used to a polaris express, that is heavy compared to the Bombardier. Why bash something you know nothing about. I am no expert, but I hate arctic cats from the first time I rode one. I love the 400ex and banshee but, I am a bigger guy and need a bigger bike.

Nope, the only thing sucking is you. Should figure something useless like you would be from NY. Well, at least that is what you put in your registration. You're probably some little teen-geek that wouldn't be able to kick start a 200X.
Unlike some monikers out there, I was being creative and unique. Do you even know what a CRT is?
So, going by your moniker/alias, you are some lousy wrestler that should go back to Mexico and stay there.

Wow, the DS sucks so bad that ATV Action made them quad of the year. Must be great to suck so bad.
The article on the 2000(1999, version 2) 400EX isn't the most complementing article in the world either.
How about "Slowest high performance quad on the market" sound to ya? How about "Tops out at 64mph, where the Banshee goes 69mph and the DS at 74mph" sound.
There have been numerous reports of problems with the trailing arms, a-arms and frames on the 400EX. The first thing that anybody that races the 400EX does is get better suspension, wider a-arms and longer trailing arms. Granted, not everyone races, but it goes to show you that the 400EX is not the god king that you think it is.
If you really look at the 400EX, like the frame, you can see that Hondas approach was make a bunch, make them cheap, and sell them for less than the Banshee. If they were to actually put something out that was competitve and new, it wouldn't have a modified motorcycle engine stuffed in basically a 300EX setup, which, is basically all it is.
I guess one thing that the 400EX and Banshee owners might partly blame Bombardier for is the price increases on these two quads. The Banshee is around $6800 out the door in my neck of the woods. Not much difference for the better atv, the DS 650. Of course, Honda and Yamamahahaha have always been able to increase the price their quads $200-400 each year by offering "New Graphics!" or a different color.
Seeing as how many aftermarket parts their are for the Banshee, I would think that Yamamahahaaha would have invested some money into refinements to make it perform better in other situations other than the sand. Fine tune the frame, suspension, engine and ergonomics. Something.
Same for Honda. The 400EX is basically a 300EX, which is basically a 250X.
I don't even want to talk about Kawasaki.
Polaris has tried, but they still have a lot to be desired. The frames on those boats are horrible. They are cheaper than the competition, but the don't provide any competition. Though, they are fun to ride, if you are not a performance freak.
So, you guys that support the Jap atv's, be thankfull that the Canadians got the ball rolling.
Canondale, I still say that aluminum is NOT the way to go for a frame, NO WAY! This will make a bike that is light, but don't plan on owning it for more than a few years. They should have went with chromoly.
Same for Bombardier, chromoly frame, a-arms, trailing arm and front fender frames would be the trick to lighten it up and keep it strong. If someone comes out with these parts, I may switch. But, for now, the DS is fast enough and performs as good as I need.
