A-arms getting scratched bad! What's the best fix?
#1
My A-arms are getting chipped and scratched down to the metal. What's the best way to refinish them?
Should I take them to a place to be powder-coated?
Thanks for the help.

Powder coating is going to be about the toughest thing you can put on them. Little pricey but well worth it in my opinion.

Once u have powercoated them do this ...buy some clear hose about the same diam as the a arm steel .
Slice the length of the clear tube and slip it over the a arm (the front one) and cable tie it at both ends . This keeps the front rod of the a arms scratch free , looks fine as nobody notices the clear plastic , and when u come to sell the bike ..simply cut them off ...
has worked for all my bikes ....

I had that problem and had mine repowdercoated and it just happened again. The only thing harder is to have them chromed. I did and it has stayed on great. Now nothing can take rocks on and win. If thats whats doing it get some A-arm guards from AC or DG but the chrome holds up to brush and looks great also.

Thanks for the suggestions. I may try the clear tube idea. I want to keep the front end of my quad as light as posisble while keeping my ground clearance.
Any ideas on how much clear coating will cost??
