Default Another spring/shim question...

Ok, i have the WEB #109 cams that i hope to install soon. Webs cams site says that you must run the shim/under conversion with this cam. I posted a topic awhile back asking what everyone suggests with this cam. Some for it/ some say i can run the stk setup as long as i change to dual springs and ti retainers.
I called WEB and was gonna order their springs/retainers and they said that i could NOT run these cams without doing the conversion. I asked why another cam manufacturer had a cam w/ more lift and duration and they did'nt require the conversion? They said that they must have done something different with the cam??? Well i was gonna bite the bullet and spend the xtra $100 for the conversion and they informed me that the springs and conversion were $325!!! Their site lists it for $255!!! They told me that there was something wrong with the site price and if i wanted the kit, it would be $325...

Is there something different about the Webs that require the shim/under? I would have spent the xtra 100.00 to convert, but i'm not gonna spend an xtra 170.00!!!

Can i run the stk shim setup with these cams and dual springs/ti retainers?

AZsand??? Anyone else???
