Been there, done that. It's fast. Right there with a Craycraft 686. Very, very close.

I'll second that. Jiminok ran that setup before the 4sw's races and he was fast. Put Alcohol to things and they seem to just wake right up.

As far as reliability goes, there's not a problem. It just requires a little more TLC and can be tempermental if you ride in colder weather. Really needs to be purged after each ride. Alcohol dries everything out and is tough on the carb. All in all, it is not a problem and it REALLY wakes the Bombs up!!!!

I'LL SECOND THAT BEEN ON ALKY FOR OVER 6 MONTHS NOT A PROBLEM YET ]

ALKY IS NOT RISKY AT ALL IT BASICALLY COOLS THE MOTOR DOWN AND GIVE A FEW EXTRA BIKE LENGTHS

I RUN A 45MM CARB NO PILOT AND A 230 MAIN

Its a great easy way to get some speed out of any motor. Its worth the little extra work. I know first hand that Quadmans DS runs great. I also think it makes a bigger difference on a stock bike than a moded bike but thats just my opinion. I took a buddy to LA Dunes and put his bike on Alky and I couldnt believe how fast it was. It had a slip on and a RWR CDI and thats all. Well and a 42 flatslide with the Alky jets.

Yeah, inquiring minds need to know...what all do you have to do to set your ds up for alky?? and how do you purge? Turn gas off and rev a few times??

I WANT SOME ALCOHOL...!!! (and yes sir I am over 21 )

Ron Wood sells an "alcohol kit for" 75.00. You can get by without it, but I would recommend it. You get plenty of jets, needle valve, needle and instructions to help you jet it. No internal mods are needed and I agree with MrMeaner that it seems to add more to a stock motor than a modded one. As fars as purging goes, I had a little squirt bottle I used to fill my nitro-powered T-Maxx. I would fill it with gas, turn my petcock to "off" on the DS, pull the line loose and insert the nozzle of the squirt bottle, and run the quad till it completely bogged down and died. When you get ready to ride again just hook up the fuel line, turn on the fuel, and off you go! It might sputter a little but it will clear out and vaaaavoooom!!!!!
