Stock Carb CFM
#6
Based on 7000 rpm, since power starts to fall off quickly, 40 cubic inches, 90 % VE,
it can be estimated around 89 CFM.
If the carburetor can flow more then I would prefer to spend money on other upgrades to increase HP.
I have modded the carb and my own version of direct-mount filter. The stock carb is working great and for trails it still the best.
At local drags I can stay in stock class if I don't change the carb.
I am sure many other ds riders like to get the most from their equipment without always replacement.
Where are the gearheads?

Did you do the vacume slide spring cutting trick on your carb oldman? If you didn't take it out cut SIX coils off of it and put it back in. SIX is the magic #. let me know.
