Default Just installed a Holeshot electric shifter...

...On my DS!!! Works great. I only had time for a passes up and down the driveway(After dark, the neighbors get mad!) and i still have a little tuning to do on it, but it works good enough as is! Full throttle upshifts!!! Whoohoo!!! Pretty easy install too...

I've been looking at those for a while, did you get the foot activated or with the handle bar button? will you be trying out on hills? Thanks

I got the one with the foot activated switch(brake light switch). You still have to foot shift, but ya don't have to let off the throttle. They run $200 new, but i picked this one up on Ebay for $100. I like the pushbutton, but its more than twice as much(it actually has a remote mouted solenoid that pulls the shifter for you.). I'll be drag racing on the flats w/ it unless i can find some hills...

Sorry its so brief. I played with it a little last night. Seems to work good. You still need to be deliberate about shifting with your foot(you can still miss a shift if you shift lazily), but you can keep the throttle pinned. It shifts quick enough from 2nd to 3rd that the front lifts off the ground 6-12" and then eases back down. Very smooth.

Are ya gonna be at Aledo this sat? I think i'll be able to make it. You can try it out...

I dont let off either but its hell on clutches. I talked to a guy at La dunes who had the push button and he said if you hit it while bike is stopped it will bend a shift fork. Thats too riskey for me. How does yours work? By the way Ill see ya at Aledo bird. Ill be there mid day on fri. Look us up in the MrMeaner trailer.

Yup I'll be there, with bells on might I add!

I have a fairly firm shifting foot. I am just looking for something to quicken my times, but not so tough on the clutches. I don't shift full throttle unless its REAAAALLLLLLY serious.
