DS Cooling fan
#2
Alot of ppl are having troubles with there fans. Mostly on the 00' and 01's, the 02 and 03s have rubbers spacers that help that fan from not getting rattled around from bumps and stuff. There is a fuse for the fan you can look at, its under the seat, right next to the airbox on the left side. Its in alittle case.

Yep, RoughRider01 nailed it. Any way, when you go to replace the fan give offroadwarehouse.com a call. They have the OEM fans for about 70 bucks more or less. YOur bomb dealer wants your first born for the fan.

I have the ron woods CDI with an FMF pipe and 190 main jet, if i was to put shrouds on the radiatior would i need the fan, i live in a hot climate, over 100 degrees in the summer on most days. I have put a strern beating on the DS since the day i got it new, other then the fan it seems to be bullet proof.

Get an inline cooler and just dont let it sit idleing and you'll be fine. For a little extra insurance, you can wire up a light to the fan circuit (once the fan is removed) and then you'll know when it starts to get a little hot.
