Who is running the 450 lift Woods cams? What had to be done to run this cam? I understand that some valve relief may need to be cut deeper. Who has a builder that can install bigger valves at a good price?

Jeff did you have to grind out the valve reliefs on the piston? Are you running shim under bucket?

I just sent my head down today to have RW port it, but not enlarge the valves. Based on their suggestion I am planning on putting the 450 cams in becuase I like running the hill at Sand Mt. in NV. They will also be putting in valve springs and I am running an 11.5:1 piston. Elliott did not mention of any problems I may have with running these cams with my mods. I'm beginning to wonder if I am bitting off more than I can chew at this time. Any help would be much appreciated.

you might want to try a higher compression piston while you are in there, i have that set up with the a-1 cams and i think it doesn't pull the top of the hill as well as it should, it is fast but get a bad start and you can lose to a stock engine, with the right gears. might want to try a 14 front with those tires. it should fly on the flat though.
