i was just wondering if any of you run nitro blends, what do you think about it?? and does your bike run a bit hotter than normal???

 

I would also like to know. I dont run it and am a little scared too. Is it safe

 

AZSand runs nitro in his 760 and his stage 3. Both bikes do not have fans or shrouds. He is running alky as well. I've never seen him have heating problems and it gets hot out here. Also he has had his bike on alky nitro for 2 years and hasn't had any problems, he has the money to fix it if anything does happen though.

He doesn't come on this site anymore though, but I know how to get a hold of him if you want to talk to him.

 

Me and a friend used to drag race a 350X on alcohol/nitro. Just adding "a little" nitro may help or may hurt depending on where your jetting is. You must richen jetting tremendous when adding nitro to alcohol. Start blubering rich and lean it down slow. Dont get over 10 percent until you have a good handle on things. Make sure you have premium exhaust valves. Give the bike what its asking for. But never impose your will. Do not free rev the motor. A nitro engine needs to have a load on it. Last but not least enjoy the smell, theres nothing quite like it!
