i was ridin my ds today and i noticed the head on my swingarm bolt is busted off! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img], WTF? has anyone else had this problem?

ya i do but its just wierd how it broke it, it looks like someone took a hammer and just smoked the head off , like there is still a small amount of head still there, like enough so the bolt doesn't pull through, i just don't understand how it coulda happend [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

the nut wasn't on the chain side was it? i have damage on my wifes ds from that. and it could have started the problem.

 

Yesterday I was planning on going for a ride, so i decided to adjust my chain first. While tightening the chain i noticed that the bolt holding the top of my rear shock to my subframe was hanging on by about 4 threads, the nut fell off somewhere. I never even touched that nut or bolt before. That would have been a fun ride it that woulda came off. Im gonna go check my swingarm bolt now.......

no sandman, the head of the bolt was on the chain side, but i did notice that the jb weld my bro used the put the bolts back in after he broke the chain and snapped it off came off too, but the chain wasn't loose, wats wit that? and dammit mudstud, i thought i saw someone sneakyin around my ds
also, why is it hallow?

 

so nobody knows why its hollow? i called the dealer and its like $110, could anyone see anything wrong with making one myself?
