OK ....

This superduty dude is going to ring in and say that on my truck, the only difference between the F250 and the F350 off the lot was the rear springs. I have since upgraded to airbags and they hold more than the F350 springs. Same frame, same motor, same tranny, same diffy, same ebytang else. I just need a new emblem now!

The thing is that the 2500HD Chevy is a one ton.So tyrespinner thinking he can do the same job with a 3/4 ton is wrong. If he has what he says its actually a one ton. I have a 1997 Dodge Dually with the 5.9 cummings and i get 19 mpg and this thing has more ***** then the 7.3, 6.0 and the duramax ever thought of having K&N Filter , High Flow 4" exhaust with no muffler and modified injector pump.

Ok people..... Here is another fact. My friend just bought a Ragin 26 ft. His F250 4x4 crew cab short bed srw 7.3L PSD was in for maintenance when the trailer was ready to be picked up. So we used my F350 4x4 crew cab long bed drw 7.3L PSD to pick it up. We went from the west side of Phoenix (115th ave) to Gilbert (Higley/Baseline) he coulden't believe how well my truck did with his trailer. Both trucks stock there was no comparison, my F350 was way more stable.

The next day we took his stock truck to Basically Payson and back with the trailer. We recorded all the hill speeds and handling issues. The we drove mine with my trialer (34ft 5th wheel) not only is there no comparison, but they are in different worlds (trailers and trucks)

All in all each truck has it's pro's and con's just like the quads. Drive what you like and what works well for you. Don't try to say mine is better than yoursText. I have beat the best and been beat by the worst but I like what I have.

heh...heh....k. Since when is a 2500 considered a 1-ton? 3500 is one-ton...just like F350 and Ram 3500......

Atta boy .

The GMC has the best finish/quality and I find WAY WAY WAY better looks over the old superduty design....

The new 6.0 from Ford is a tad more powerful than the Duramax...but no big difference...

Both have good transmissions, I'd lean on the Allison a bit more though....

The tow/haul mode on both trucks is top notch...

The Ford is cheaper...but does not keep it's value whatsoever...In the end, you will come out on top with the GM..money wise.

The GM has more nimble steering and is easier to maneuver...They both have leaf springs on the back... The ford front shocks blow...unless you get the FX4 package....

Get the one you find looks the best and has the best ride...they are both top performers.

You are correct marky, except you dont have the sticker from Ford. If you tow overloaded and get in an accident you will pay much more then the few hundred dollars difference between a 350 and 250. I think most of these 3/4 ton trucks today can tow much more then rated, however the legal aspects need to be considered. I can tell you that if someone causes a wreck while towing and my family is somehow involved I will make sure they weigh the truck and trailer and record everything for the lawsuit that will follow.

Sorry to rant, in my opinion if you can get the one ton over the 3/4 go for the one ton. I wish chevy made a one ton in single rear wheel form, that is one reason I went with the Ford. They are all nice trucks, just be safe when towing something big.

Read the facts.....you could never knock the cummings. Its a proven engine. The 7.3 PS's have already had there share of probs along with the Duramax and new ford 6.0.There not that loud and ive heard of plenty of people buying the Dodge just for the cummings even though they liked the Ford body style better.
