I am having the same problem and live in Dallas

Mine started after I let is sit for a long time. It has always stalled while riding and back-fired through the carb & exhaust.

However, I cleaned my carb all over... it will idle ,but as soon as I hit the gas it dies.

I am thinking it needs a valve job.

What did you find out with yours?
