Boy, was that guy mad!

We just had an ATV night race here in Sin City and I decided to go with a couple of buddies to watch. I never met one of the guys that went, he had a Troy Lee Predator that was the test bike for Trinity Rac. The bike had some carb/filter work along with a full race exhaust. Before we even got out of the driveway, the guy kept telling me how much he liked my Bomb. He was also telling me how much he like his bike and how much better it was than his 01 Rappy. He said it was way faster and that there were no trans problems like he had in his Rappy. He asked me to race a couple of times and I just kept putting him off. At the end of the night, right before I called it a day, we decided to race on flat pavement. The run was about a 1/8 of a mile and I let him run the show. I told him now or never and that I'll race once before I went home. I had raced a stock predator before my dyno tuning session over at SandTech, and it was close, but pulled him in 4th and 5th. Giving up about 125lbs to the guy, I thought for sure that I was sunk
Mind you that my bike is geared way high for duning with a 14tooth front and stock Ohotsus. He yelled 3, 2, 1 - go! Start was pretty even and I started off in 2nd riding a 1ft high wheelie for about 10 yards until I backed out for a second to drop the front end. When I shifted to 3rd, I began to pull and when I went into 4th I lost him out of my periferal (spelling ???). By my 5th, I was ahead by what looked to be about 4 lengths and I started to smile. We stopped and he was in shock. He couldn't get a better start, and he's actually a real good rider. He started to clammer about needing to get some head work done cause he couldn't stand that I took him. I simply said, nice bike and looked at my other buddies face (he rides a Honda 417ex, he was in the race until he went into 3rd - goodby). He was just smiling and shaking his head. He and I had raced before and he said later that he knew this guy was chomping at the bit to race me. He also said that he knew what the outcome would be. Now up a hill, with my weight, I'm not sure what would have happened.... I do know that I slept very well that night.

Like you wouldn't believe. Truth be told, I've never been so proud of my Bomb. I've beat Shees up Comp at Dumont, and had a guy grenade his QuadZilla trying to beat me. But this one felt reeeeaaaaaalllll nice.

Annihilater, The night race that I was talking about was an offroad race. The race I had was on a back road on the way back home from the race. That being said, there are a lot of activities that take place on Nevada State Drive in Henderson. They have been filming movies there with street bikes lately. You know..... wheelies, stopies, front spoiler wheelies, hand stands, no hands etc. etc. pretty crazy stuff.
And Cop,
Yea.... it felt real nice.
