Trinity exhaust

You'll see better performance with a modded or billet end cap on the stock exhaust sysytem. Just trying to save you $400. The trinity exhaust has not shown me much on the dyno.

Mr.HP is there any exhaust you would reccomend for us DS lovers, or is the end cap the best way to go. Considering we have the money to buy the exhaust. Also have you been in contact with LTE about their new dual exhaust. Just picking your brain because you seem to be one of the wizards around here. Thanks for any help.

The Billet end cap, or modified end cap are great ways to go. The nice thing about the billet end cap is that you can switch between the two, quiet and performance when you need to. Also, the billet end caps are well.... made of billet, sturdy and strong and easy to polish up when you want to sell it to upgrade to a full system. LTE is now testing a 93db, dual performance exhaust system. That one might be worth the wait!

It might not show you much on the dyno, but it showed me plenty on the dunes, plus its the best built pipe out there for the DS, lets see.....sounds cool, dosen't hit the swing arm, has not leaked anywhere in 8 months, and builds tons of torgue.....in answer to trickyp question though, the pipe does not go past the stock bar on the back, I've drug mine before and the pipe never has hit the ground.....word to all, dyno's are not consistent.....plus with Trinity if you don,t like the pipe for any reason, sent it back.....

Is the finish on the Trinity easy to take care of or does it tarnish like other unmentioned exhaust systems?

There are pictures (not great ones, mind you) of the Trinity system on my photo page. The condition you see it in is the result of one season of riding with absolutely no maintenance. I don't do polish. So if I was inclined to polish it up it would probably clean up nice, but I will never know.

Dyno's are very consistent when used properly. I dynoed a Trinity, Big Gun, Greydon back to back. If fit and finish is what you want then go with Trinity, I am in no way ragging on anyone that owns a Trinity pipe. If I ran a full system it would be a Big Gun because it makes power from bottom to top. Greydon is for drag racing only.
Dual exhaust on a single cylinder dual exhaust port head in my opinion is not the way to make power, I have tried it before and it doesnt work.
As of right now I run the end cap, when something better comes along I'll buy it. Take a look at your stock exhaust, its a full blown header with stainless stepped head pipes and everything, except for the end. The end cap just opens it up.

MR HP, your findings seems to verify what I've said for quite a while, my Trinity is nice looking , sounds great but didn't do much if anything for performance
