Bombardier ATV no more? New Company needs new name!
Mentioned in one of the newspaper articles is the lack of a new name for the newly independent Recreational products division of which we are talking....
Think about it....The larger aerospace division is obviously keeping the Bombardier name, which means the smaller recreational company may have to come up with a new name.....and rename the ATV division.
As a new dealer I have been unable to get a sign or even any banners. I was told they weren't going to ship any out till the sale of the division was resolved..... I am thinking.....Since they pretty much knew how this was going down, they aren't shipping signs because they know they HAVE to change the name.
Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo, Rotax, Evinrude, and Johnson are all safe, but Bombardier aerospace may have proprietary rights to the name Bombardier, even though the "family" is involved in the new company.
SO no big deal, in the bigger picture, the ATV division is the only portion without its' own name, and it is the newest and smallest division. Bombardier ATV's may be a thing of the past. The company and products will live on, of that we can be sure, but they may have a new name very soon......
,,,,,Let's rename the company!
Dirt-Doo?
Rotax ATV?
Cannon-dool?
Let's hear your ideas!

or, not nearly as good. . .
DuneDoo
Seriously, if they do come up with a new name for the rec division it will have to be a universial name:
Doo Recreational Products ???
Doo ATV Division. . .
Honestly, I don't like it. . . too easy to make fun of (Dog Doo).

I always thought it was strange that they have names for all the other RV brands but went with Bombi on the atv. Not sure what a good one would be. I also thought about Dirt Doo, but that sounds kinda silly. Of course, if you think about, so does Ski Doo. It's just been around so long everyone is used to it (I'm a life-long Doo owner myself). I'm sure if someone suggested that today, it would get laughed off.
And scramblered, while I love my Polaris quad, I love my Ski Doo more. I will admit that Polaris was the sled for much of the 90's, but Ski Doo has definately passed them up in quality and performance over the last several years. The XCR never had a prayer against the Mighty Mach and now can you say REV? Polaris has sat on their *** the last 2 years with sleds (concentrating maybe too much on quads?) and that's too bad because it's nice to see healthy competition between all the makes. They did come up with nifty new decals each year, though!
