What slip-on to get?
#1
Ok, I want to get a slip-on soon. I might buy a used Yosh, but I'm wondering about jetting. I just want to put the pipe on and put in a jet kit. I don't want to mess around with changing jets, a loud pipe, fouled plugs, etc.

You will get the same or more power from an end cap (can me homemade for CHEAP) than any slip-on...
A pound or 2 for a couple hundred bucks is not worth IMO... You'll be happier with an end cap..and so will your wallet... But if you need looks, you might wanna get a slip-on...
Whatever tickles your pickle...

I disagree-the stock muffler is way more restictive than just the endcap.

got my yoshi from Denton Racing for $280, plus another $40 for the tunable end cap kit if you need them like I do for the places I ride frequent.
but I just ordered a Graydon system, and my Yoshi is going in the classifieds, tunable end cap kit and all, for a very very good deal to offset the cost of the new megaphone system for my modded motor so the ol' lady doesn't ride me too hard for spending so much money all the time!

well I never knew the graydon actually "sucked" on the bottom - I had a RW before the yoshi and it didn't suck on the bottom - I can't imagine the graydon being any worse on the bottom than it.
But I better hang on to the Yoshi for a few weeks after putting the graydon on, just to be sure I'm not sorry. the yoshi is great low and mid big time, I have no problems or disapointments with it, just decided its time for a change for the dune drags but I still ride trails most of the time, and always will so if I suffer there I'll put the yoshi back on, no doubt about it!

hightower get the disk end cap for your graydon and you will have all the bottom end you want, then like 8 screws later you will have the open end cap and lots of drag racing to do. i like the graydon a lot, good clearance on everything.
at ds days these are the riders with graydon
1-jeff x2 (ct on one)
2-kmduner
3-jetsnow
4-azsand
5-me
and i'd say we were all very happy, i do wish the head pipe stayed looking better but i guess you can recoat them. glad your getting on the team
