Pics of battery relocation?

Anyone have some pics of their battery relocation? I would really like to do this to my ds but so far all I come up with is to buy the aftermarket airbox. Would really like to see some custom work.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Look at my gallery when it's back again. I did a battery relocation without an airbox. I had to cut the part of the rear fenders out that had the space for the tool pouch. I also cut off the original battery holder and support from the frame. or look here: Dry cell battery relocation pics.

Hey Butt Fun..... Pretty cool idea.
Can you get some more pics of the side and rear of your battery relocate?! OR does it sit where you can't see it from the exterior...? Looks like a pretty clean idea. Also... do you have the stock airbox installed?? It's hard to tell.

Ahhhh.....
I can't not run an airbox.
Too much dirt and sand would clog me up too quickly on long Mexico rides. No airbox = disaster (in my world of riding).
Still... a great mod you did. But only for the guys who don't need the airbox I'd guess.

I'm not sure I understand why Mexico would be any different. I run Glamis, Four Peaks, the Cinders, Box Canyon, Mexico (50+ miles down the beach, desert and dunes) and all over around Stoneman Lake. I've run in rain, mud and snow.
I run no air box with the tapered intake tube, 7.5" dia x 9.75 long K&N and a single outer wear.
My filter stays very clean. I even put a thin film a vacuum grease in the intake tube. After riding for three days (5-8 tanks of gas) I will wipe it with a clean white cloth to see if any dust got thru. Never, it's always clean.

IMO then it's bad enough to get in anyway (it's over your snorkles). At the Cinders in Flagstaff, Az, the dust is like silica, well it is silica and it dosn't get in mine.
