Saturday was awesom. I went riding with a couple guys out in the mountains. One had a 01 400EX cammed, the other had a 01 Raptor mostly stock. They quickly showed me that I have a lot to learn on a high speed course(I'm pretty new to atving). Then came the drag races! Both myself and the Raptor were able to easily beat the 400EX. When I raced the Raptor we came out of the hole on wheelies, then I never saw him again. Once I hit about 7,500RPM's I had him by 20-30 feet. We raced 6-8 times on different surfaces and I dominated every time. Can you tell I love my new 04 Baja X?? The more I ride the more I love it!

i think it seems quicker caus they finally took off some weight

 

I reckon they are actually quicker cos the -1 swingarm actually makes for better traction ...traction means forward momentum....and the fact that they have shaved of some pounds !!

 

I've never ridden a previous DS650, but I sure love this one. Another guy I work with is getting a new Z400. It's like Christmas! I can't wait for him to get it so we can race.
Anyone know how the X would do against the Yamaha 450??
