Anyone tried or thinking about 12" wheels?
Wondering if anyone has tried 12" wheels yet? 12" sand tires are becoming more available but I haven't seen any advertisements for 12" wheels, do they make them for a DS? Dirt wheels tried out a set of 12s in one of their tire tests and they did very good. I am planning on 22" haulers, I may try to find some 12" wheels front and back. Anyone...?

I have the 12 itp magnums and love them they get awesome traction and are the best allaround preforming sand tire for the ds's (thats my opion) well good luck!!
I had to do a lot of cleaning on that one i guess those that say you shouldn't drink and type are right

When it comes to tires AZSand is the man. (First time I met him last year at DS Days he almost needed a trailer just to haul all the different tires he had!)
One nice thing I noticed when I went from 20" tires on 10" rims to 22" tires on 10" rims was the rims don't ding up as much. I think if anything I will go with a smaller rim in the future and stay with the 22" tires. There are some rocks on the outside areas of our dunes so, anything to prevent the rims from getting dinged up is a +.

I second what AZsand said. I'm on my forth set of rear tires and I'll get 12" when these are done. I think the tires are 23" and really seem to hook up. The DS is heavy and sinks in soft sand so the bigger tires you get, the less time you will spend stuck and looking foolish. The sets I've seen have a low profile sidewall and don't balloon much so have a square profile.
