I heard on here that there are signs up stating no racing, but not enforced.
would love to go, but i just dont know about whats going on over there for sure yet
would call Barney for sure and see what he has to say, If he's still running the place that is.

Yeah the old fart is still running it,you can still race.But he will no longer allow anyone to bring a dozer or a tractor to smooth out an area,he claims it's insurance.Oh yeah it's $20 per bike a day.I will try and make it that saturday.

 

Hey guys! You can still Race out there....It really was the insurance that caused that.....As far as night ridng you are not allowed to night ride, but what Barney does is he will not lock the gate to the Dunes until about 10 or so and then he opens it up at about 4 in the morning.....The reason for that was the people who livew around there....I live about 20 miles from there so it is very easy for me to take a trip there although I do not agree with the prices!...Or alot of other things that go on there..................................Hey On a different note....Did ya'll here about Jason Thacket? He was the guy that had the Raptor with the R-1 on it...He lived here local!

 

What happened to Jason.

 

He got killed..He was riding his bike and lost control, broke his back and tore his aorta....I think it was last Friday

 

Damn,I didn't know.I did a lot of parts trading with him when he was into the polaris bikes.He was a very nice guy,and will be sadly missed.I wish his family well.

 

I only talked to him a couple of times but I have seen him many....He was in Ok for Sandfest but I only saw him once there, never got to talk to him....I have a buddy that is a EMT and he worked it that is the way I found out.

 

Was he on his quad? Where? Not at the dunes was he?
