Default Stiffer rear spring...

Does anyone know what the stock rear spring rate is?

Where can I get one with more rate?

My quad is an 03 DS650 and the rear shock only has one spring (yellow), unlike other models I've seen (red small one and yellow longer one)

Mine's a Baja, but I don't think that makes any difference, eh?

Anyway, yeah, one spring (yellow)
Hoping to find a stiffer one soon.

I don't have the number but if you call TCS suspension, they should be able to tell you. I know they've re-built many a DS shock.

Maybe you're right.
How many coils on the red and how many coils on the yellow?
I'm going outside to count mine now.

I count 12 coils on the rear spring. The ones near the top are very close together (or possibly touching). I guess that it's a progressive spring...

I'm not sure but I have a '00 DS & it has the long yellow spring with a short red. The newer model DS or baja have a shorter swing arm so they left the red one off so it sits level. So maybe if you have a old one & want to squat the rear to drag race, get a newer short spring but I don't know for sure. Anyone else have any ideas?
