Hello, I was thinking of trying alky out. I want to know what jets etc. I need and how it starts?? I have the stock carb, 500-1300 elv. I did look at the old posts but I need more detailed info.

You really cant get the stock carb to work to well with alky. It doesnt have enough velocity to really get enough Alky into the engine. You will need to upgrade to a TM42,45mm or some other Aftermarket carb.

Well if you want to run alky the lectron 46-48 are great carbs for the ds and affordable and easy to tune You can even have fast by gast send them to you as alky carbs[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] and life don't get no better than that[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

hey azsand can you put them back to gas carbs after you set tham at alky? the lectrons

 

Yes the only diff.is the metering rod and the power jet!! you order the new metering rod you want and remove the power jet and put a screw in the hole and its on gas again[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Hey AZ whats affordable and whaere do you get them.

 

You can look them up @ Fast by Gast the standard i belive is like 270 and set up for 4 alcahol like 350 ?????
