Default Performance Rectifier; Secrets Revealed!

Guys, I found out more info on the performance rectifier. Here's how it works; The charging system on the new rectifier is better by allowing charging to happen only when the battery absolutely needs to be charged. By not charging, there is no additional drag on the stator making up useless extra voltage to be dumped into the battery. Less drag on the stator means more usable horsepower - 7%-9% more! Bling Bling ! I'm trying it out this weekend!

Here's a thought, splice in switch to the voltage regulator so you can cut all charging drag during drag racing. Ironrod, the setup you're talking about, could it decide to go full charge right when you leave the line?

Sound like a good idea. What wire would that be.

I'd say the black or red wire should do it. I'd run the switch to the dash.

Yes, you certainly could splice into something, I just don't know what wire that would be. The performance recifier that I am trying out is supposed to be more automatic. Definately running with your headlights on is a bad thing, but cant be overcome at night. Just make sure that Raptor heads we're racing has HIS lights on! LOL

It really wouldn't surprise me to see certain sparky 'teams' of people who are so intent on winning that they would race at night with their lights off - and perhaps an 8 year old boy piloting the machine as well for a weight advantage as night? Perhaps they can take that same 8 year old boy, and force him to become anorexic, that way he would weigh in at less than fifty pounds and really bring home the trophies!! YES! YES! Who cares if the boy lives to see his tenth birthday as long as he wins! Right?
