Default The 2004 DS650!!!!

Just got back from looking at the 04 DS650 (X-Package) & that thing gives me goose bumps, just looking at it. The package looks bulletproof. Anyone with that DS650, please confirm what was told to me regarding that the bike does 84mph stock!!!!! I have a 01 Raptor that is stock & with a GPS, I got 77mph without any modifications. By the way...I love the size of the DS650. It reminds me of what a 650 should look like. A monster.......

I have a 04 Bomb Baja X and bone stock and with a trail tech speedo I got it up to 70-75, but it was on gravel and dirt roads and the rear tires are almost always spinning. Plus I have not set the speedo with a radar gun so it could be off 5-10 mph. My guess is on pavement with street treads it would do 80 or close to it. The REV limiter kicks in at 7900-8000 and if you could get some more out of that it would deffinately have the power to take it up to 100mph. I did hear of someone changing sprockets and clocking his at 110mph, but who really knows how much of that is true.

Haven't timed the speed but about the time I hit 5th gear I'm thinking "HOLY CRAP I'M GOING FAST". My '04 DS has a lot smoother power all the way through the gears than the '02 Raptor.

Thanks for your response, because the X-Package looks bullet-proof & the salesman mention what it would do, bone stock(84mph). Also, can wheelies be performed on this monster of a machine. What's the top gear that this beast can wheelie in? 1st, 2nd, 3rd, what about 4th gear?
