hasn't been on the dyno recently. probably still around 100HP depending on boost, but does it at ~6500RPM, so torque is also very high. i haven't done anything recently to enhance performance. i changed to a more reliable turbo.

Last year scooby dyno'd 119 HP !!and best part was everybody was thier to see it happen.

Since then he has bought a more reliable turbo, and pretty much has replaced all his components with more reliable ones. Scooby IS THE FASTEST DS in the world when he wants to be. And the most impressive part about his numbers is that he is doing it with STOCK cams and STOCK head!!!

Scooby will not bragg on his DS, so I will do it for him.

119HP! I'm going to yank the turbo off the old ladys mitsubishi right now!!

Hey Scooby, ever thought about proliferating some of the knowledge you have about installing a turbo on a DS? Maybe post a thread with details about the install and the do's and dont's....

I bet he could write a book. If you see that thing, you'll know he's done the research.

I added a few stills to my image station album, including some old pics of the original aerocharger turbo.

Scooby is the man when it comes to turbo DS's. I watched him for the last few years dialing it in, changing this and changing that. I saw it spin the rollers at the dyno all the way to 119hp. ( with a slipping clutch) Last time before the hyway accident there was not another DS or raptor that could hang in 660 feet. I would like to see it back to that shape and see if he can break 4.2 in 300 feet.

Scooby has always been on the quiet side but you got to have some NUTS to launch that thing at over 20psi. When scooby shows up ready to race the race is for 2nd place

Man this is making me want to ditch my 720 and get a turbo. Is it high mainteneance? Can you ride a track with it? Scoob I may take a trip up to NY to see your bike... even if your not close to Manhattan. I'm sure my Stage III buddy would be interested as well. That has to be one sick ride.

KMS turbos doesn't seem like they give you a whole lot of horsepower. Says a Raptor only gained like 20 HP. Is that normal? Wouldn't it be more? What about 12:5.1 compression pistons. What can ya do to lower the compression? Mill head or add another gasket?

KMS systems are designed with reliability and longevity in mind. THe turbo comes from the factory with the waste gate designed to bleed off boost at 8psi. Once you start cranking up the boost a new fuel map needs to be in place for the ECU to reference. You can tweak a KMS system to give you whatever power range you are looking for, but you also need to be realistic as to what type of power your motor ie, clutch, tranny etc can handle. Do you want to ride it regularly or do you want a money pit?

IF your willing to switch to methanol leave your compression where it is at 12.5:1 , with 8psi I'd guess youd be making 70+ hp.
