pushinthelimit..IMO...you should have roughened your port up a lil bit so the fuel and air will tumble around and it will make more power...

Ds650RaCeR how would you recommend roughing up the intake? After removing a fair share of metal with the die grinder I assume the surface will be fairly smooth. Whats the best tool or method to create a rough surface?

Push, the port job looks great. The pictures show that the surface is as rough as it needs to be. All that is necessary is making sure that gas can't bead up on the metal. The idea is to avoid any extra air turbulence because turbulence (tumbling) slows down the air flow. So. what I want to know is, how much difference in performance you saw. How about it, Push?

To tell you the truth... I havent had it on yet due to me bending my valves so it will be a while but I'll let you guys know. And it might not look like it in the pics but it's plenty rough for the fuel atomization... And remember that I'm no professional and I did what I could on it so IMO it's pretty good, and I also talked to Eric before I did it and he told me what I needed to do. But if anyone thinks it isn't good enough just let me know and I'll send it to you if you think you can make it better, but I'm not spending a dime......
