Default back from running the 770

well it was a lot of fun, the 770 had a few problems not sure the rings seated well there was to much oil blow by. the 720 was on top of it's game this weekend. although, one race on the flats, it was like there was nos in the 770 but after that the things, seemed to go backwards. after that the 720 pulled almost every race. well until we went duning, sandbomber can ride and i don't mean just kind of hard but i mean full ***** out, it was all i could do to just keep up. well looks like the 770 is really going to run great just needs to have some more tuning.

so kc what do you think causes that oil to come out the case vent? a good guess would be compression from around the rings, have a feeling that would cause a loss of power. once it seals up it will run strong, now it may have to be taken apart to repair.

Talk to Jeff if you have oil pouring out the vent. He had that problem when he first got his 830 put together. I think he ended up putting an oil cooler on and that solved the problem.

Jeff should be able to help if that was an issue.

think it was a little more than that, it seemed to cause some power lose at one point the flat runs were going my way every run then out of the blue it was running strong it pulled on me real bad. oh well some more tuning and all should be good.

SANDMAN, ON ASPHALT MY FIRST DAY OUT THE 770 DID NOT BLOW ANY OIL. I WAS OUT AT GOOSE PASTURE ABOUT 45 MIN BEFORE YOU GOT THERE & MAY HAVE BROKEN A RING BECAUSE THATS WHEN THE OIL STARTED FLOWING. OH WELL I GOT A COUPLE BIG THRILLS WHEN IT WAS ON ITS GAME (IT WILL BE FAST). IM NOW TALKING TO GARY ABOUT DOING A 770 WITH A 45 LIKE YOURS (EASY FOR NOS IF NEEDED) (HE HAS MY OTHER 650 APART DOING THE TRANNY) PERFECT TIMEING???????
