well i went stage 2 from ron wood. talked to ron wood himself, i told him i mostly drag race so he suggested Wood7 : Lift .450 in. duration 294 degrees (Intake & exhaust . i've got some mild port work.stock bore. and i cannot get these cams to run. any body else been disappointed in these cams?
yeah these cams come on hard at the top. but i've lost the race before i can get to the top. HELP!
I have the RW race 7's, but haven't been albe to see how they really work. I found out that I sucked some sand and scared my cylinder and piston. Compression went to 120lbs. and leak down was 35%; ouch. Quad should be back together in a couple of weeks and than I should know how those cams perform. I plan on going to Sand Mt. the weekend of Nov. 14, so I will let you know.

Hey Jim!
FinalClimax (A.K.A. Tony - found out he sucked some sand and had big--time leak-down, poor compression.) Just got his quad back and he is planning to go to Sand Mt. this weekend. He'll also be down at Dumont with us for Thanksgiving.
I hope to make it up there this Sunday for test-n-tune too.
We'll let you know how it goes!

DuneMe...yeah please give us the low down after the weekend on the cams and how Tony's quad does...
BTW, you your family and friends are gonna LOVE Dumont. Definately worth the drive...one of my favorite places!!! Sure wish I could make it but I'm happy that I'll be home for a change.

I hear you, T...I'm thinking the 109/110 webs or RWR A1/A2...more all around type. I did a search on cams earlier and there is a lot of info...was just wondering about these guys, especially FinalClimax...he was pretty bumbed out at DSdays over his quad.
You know the feeling....

I run the A1/A2 cams and DSmike runs the 450's, other than that are motors are pretty much identical. He consistantly beats me by 2-3 lenghts. I dont know if its the cams, or the fact that he weights 85 lbs less than me, or maybe he is a better rider, but he beats me 9 out of 10 times.
However I do feel that the 450's are RACE ONLY, thier power band is all up top! I prefer the A1/A2 combo for "all around" performance.
Bigger.

bigger there is only 2-3 bikes and you weigh 85pounds more. man my brother could pull away from me and there was only 20 pounds difference. i'm pretty sure i like the top end of the 109's better than the a-1 but until everything is exact hard to really know. do you and mike ever switch quads to see what the difference is?
