Default LOL.......one more question.

alright ........i finally got my ds running real good with the 152.5 main jet- air mixture screw 2.5 turns out on the tm 45. it runs REAL good through the gears but when i try to top it out in 5th it will only go to 7800 rpms. and starts cutting out like its running out of fuel, but thats the only gear it does it in- the rest of them run 8500(or more) my spark plugs have finally kit reading white and know have a little blue in them ................what do u think?

Default LOL.......one more question.

The Baja stock CDI rev limit is 8000 RPM. You are hitting the stock limit. You have a number of choices on a replacement CDI.

1) Big Gun - direct hook up to the Baja - Rev Limit 8500
2) Vortex - direct hook up to the Baja - Rev Limit at 8900
3) Ron Wood Racing - You'll have to rewire it to work with the Baja - No rev limit.

I think you might be a little rich on your main jet...drop down one or two sizes.

Default LOL.......one more question.

You said it cuts out like it's running out of fuel-- is it? The vent tubes on these bikes don't seem to do very well... Sometimes running WOT mine will cut out, and if I loosen the fuel cap it will run normal. I need to get/make a vented cap.

Default LOL.......one more question.

Probably is float issue. The float is set to low... Meaning that there is less fuel in the bowl... Meaning at WOT on 5th you are sucking the bowl dry while the gravity-feed fuel line tries to keep up, but it can't.

Could be something else, but this is my bet..

Default LOL.......one more question.

i couldnt find any thing wrong with my float and i tried running it without my cap on at all. same result.............its even started doing it in 3rd and 4th gear........so .. i jetted it down from a 152.5 to a 147.5 and it has stopped the cutting out in third and forth completly and it doesnt cut out in 5th untill i get to about 8100,----------my question is i was thinking of jetting it down to a 145 or a 142..5 ... does that jet size sound uncommen for 3000ft elavation and if im running a little to lean will that hurt my engine?but the downsizing of the jets seems to improve the my power i just dont want to go to far.
