Default Front Sand tires... yay or nay

I just bought a set of rear sand star tirew for this weekend, first sand dune trip I will make. I was wondering who is running front sand tires and if they really make that much difference. Now I am running holeshots up front and was wondering if they throw sand anll over you when you turn.

Yes, they make a difference but they are not needed to have fun. I have used them in the past but as for right now I am not and still enjoy it. The quad just does not steer quite as good.

you don't need them but they are nice i like the 23" smooth buffs best seems to work best with the ds front.

Yay! The front of the DS is way heavy, the smooths help it to float better. Knobbies tend to want to dig in to the deeper sand.

I have the new Sand Star fronts as well as rear's. Rode on them this weekend and they were great. I wish they made them bigger though. Even if you replace with your stock front size they are smaller tires.
