Sidwinder spends a fortune on advertising only to screw the customer over when they try to buy something!!! If they had half a brain, they would take some money from marketing and hire a cust serv rep with half a brain. At least word-of-mouth advertising would be working for them instead against them.

 

They did the same to me.i got a steel chain and was suppose to be ti.my paper work says ti chain but it is not.dirty crooks.

 

The number of people that got a steel chain for the price of titanium is starting to make it look less and less like a mistake... isn't a "bait and switch" illegal?

 

if this was my chain, and with all the others that got duped with steel chain, i would talk to the manager and maybe mention you will be speaking with the better business bureau unless they clear up this problem

 

Man glad to that I did not buy from Sidewinder ! and i came pretty close but the price was kinda hard for me to swallow but also of course i was going to get the hole setup 300+[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

I'd call the President or owner of Sidewinder and refer him to the Forum and the threads showing what a Horse's *** the company has been. If you charged it with a credit card just DISPUTE the charge and see how fast you get good customer service!

Too many of the Mail Order companys are crooks and we need to spread the word. Just hearing this I'd never order from them regardless what the product is. Sandman, please keep us all informed. Let them all know if your going to be a CROOK on the internet it will put you OUT OF BUSINESS if you try to screw DS650 owners!

at this point they said they would refund my money, but after hearing from others it appears that there might be some shady businees practices going on.

 

I am sickend by what i am seeing but i can tell you i have a titanium chain from them and i payed 190 something to have it long enough to cover my 6" swing arm but i don't know why they would be screwing people so bad ????? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

But knutz was awesome at one time and so was samcoe and a few others so i guess people do stupid things when there in trouble???????

 

i'll call again tomorrow maybe the right sells guy will be in and explain better, i'm sure there chains are fine i just want the ti kind.

 

Being in retail I know the company probably makes or has a good product. I also know that sometimes when your low on stock (wether it's your fault or not) there is a temptation to fake it/lie/BS your way thru situations.

But I've learned from our competition that I'd rather lose a sale because I'm out of stock on something than make the sale thru shady practices and then have to deal with the load of %$#% that follows. Lets just say my stores sales have increased because of there stupid practices.
