Default My one and only problem with the DS

My headlight and tailights keep burning out. Every ride I go through a tail light and every other ride a headlight goes out. My question is; is there something that should be replaced....Voltage Regulator? My quad still has a year of warranty. The dealer wants to just put new lights in.

For the tailight I have tried a 1157 automotive tailight and it still burns out.

Thanks, I will try that this weekend. I have a voltage meter at home.
My dealer says the lights went out from vibration.

The rear tail light 1157 is no biggy. You can replace it with a 1157 LED bulb, and that will fix that. But the front head lamp bulb is what has me conserned. Do what Bartlett said, you shouldnt be burning head lamp bulbs out.

Good luck.

Bigger.

We did go riding Friday. There is over a foot of snow here now so the only riding I will be doing is on Indian lake, Matt and I are going stud are old tires...otherwise i will be tearing up the front yard.

My last ride i jumped alot.wheelied alot..landed on the handle bars...and flipped it on its side...so there was alot vibrations.
One of the baja lights was burned out already.

I went trought 4 tail light bulbs before I put in an L.E.D. bulb. A normal 1157 would last me 5 to 10 minutes of driving on pavement. I haven't had any of the three headlights burn out.

I have burned out two of the Baja lights so far..Not cool at all...Most of my riding is done at night or early morning. One burned out, put a new one in, one ride and it was out.(lots of hard jumping) I am hoping voltage regulater.

Does anybody know what a voltage regulater is worth. Is there any other options?
