Chain breaks to remove links?
#1
With my shorter swing arm and stretched chain I am cheap and would rather remove links to make it shorter IF is to long then buy one.
If so, who makes the best break to get?

Dremel Just grind off the link you want to remove and put it back together. Or you can spend the money on a Motion pro chain breaker. They sell a complete kit that includes Chain break, link press and rivet press, it's like $100.

Why would you replace it?
It should be just as strong when I pull 1 or 2 links out...

Cheapest you request? Get a flat head screwdriver thats narrow enough not too touch the rubber orings and pound it in there...VIOLA. Leave the chain on the rear sprocket too do this process. You still have too get a masterlink if your chain did not come with one (most oe chains don't). Thats what I have always done anyway.
