Default Woods bike?????

Alright here's the deal.....I'm thinking of buying a DS650 but I dont know if I'll be sick of it or not ..... No dunes around here in Kentucky, only tight woods trails.....I know the DS is a rather big bike compared to all the other sport quads,,,,The question is "Is it to big for tight woods trails?".....Keep inmind I might actually race a few Cross Country events too.......

For casual trail riding the DS can be a blast but if you have intentions of racing one in a GNCC style event the truth is that the DS is simply too wide to squeeze between the trees like the 400's. You can get wheels to narrow the DS to about 48" (50" is stock) and that will definitely give you a little help but keep in mind, this machine was designed with something other than tight woods racing in mind. Get her out on a nice fire road or some wide open riding and you will never be happier.

Where are u from. I ride my DS at Turkey Bay just about every weekend, and it does good on the trails I've had no problems riding it there. Although sometimes its a tight squeeze through some of the trees but ive never hit them. I had a warrior and i liked it but the suspension on the Ds makes it a much better trail bike, at least thats my opinion. If u get a DS maybe we can ride at Turkey BAy sometime

DefTone1, like Hillbilly said, it is great for the casual ride, but I can ride the tight trails much faster on a 400ex or raptor. It can be done, you need better aim betweent the trees. A couple of weekends ago, I got stuck between trees, but on the other hand the raptor I was riding with couldn't strattle the rutted out hills like I can on the DS..
