I have the sport trak pro and I love it. I programmed all the waypoints at Glamis and last trip we went on a 4hour ride. I bought the mount thats made for bicycles and it works great. The GPS adds a big sense of security especially when you go out adventuring in the dunes.

Get a ram mount! RAM I have tried several GPS's and mounts and the RAM mount
is by far the best I have found. I only ride vary rocky trails and they stand up well. Also I have several bikes/quads and
I can move the GPS from bike to bike with just a twist of a lever.

WOW!!!!!
That is great

I assume you get the cradle that fits your GPS. Then you get what ever it mounts to.. are they all ball based? as in the unit connects to the ball then the ball conects to what ever mount on what ever surface or bar?

Yes, you get the cradle for your GPS. The ones I am using are the ball mounts. Have a ball on every set of handlebars and just move the mount to the bike I will be using. I also installed a 12v AUX on all the bikes.

What's involved in installing 12v aux power?

I installed a 12v Cigarette lighter plug on both of my ATVs. I wired it so the plug is in the small tool storage area, and then put a small plastuc bag over it while not in use. I had a 12v plug with a spring loaded lid on one of my ATVs before but it kept forcing the plug out so the GPS would shut off. I then ran the Cigarette lighter adapter (for my GPS) from my plug all the way up front along the left side of the chassis, making sure the cord doesn't get pinched anywhere. The length of the cord is 100% perfect in my case; just enough room to have slack at both ends and no excess cord!

I also HIGHLY recomend the RAM mounts as well. I have one on my Baja with my Garmin GPS12 mounted to it. Once you get a solid 12v connection to your GPS it's awesome to have while riding!
