well, I am a loser. tried to get to the dunes today. when we got close to eugene, we saw a odot sign that said highway 38 to reedsport closed. so we headed through eugene out 126. got about 10 miles past vaneta. it was snowing pretty heavy. my trailer started to go sideways about 6 times. we wimped out and turned around. my friend made it. he said the worst part we had gone through allready. did you go sandbomber?

dsxbear, at least you didn't waist $50 for gas. allthough your probably not as wimpy as me when it comes to trailer sliding. and I did pick up a set of chains in eugene. but , it did not stop my trailer from wanting to be in front.

 

No I wimped out also!!! Too many problems to overcome to get there. My son & brother refused to make the trip. Have to try again after 4stroke wars. Im sure this is the worst weather of the season[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

The coastal pass is bad too. I was tempted, but decided not to.

 

Well guys i tried to make it to the coast thursday morning to go duck hunting and turned around and came back because i couldnt even see the road with the snow falling so hard.I dont think heading over with a trailer would have been a good idea with the conditions they way they were.And yes highway 38 was closed as well as 126.Any one heading over this coming weekend to florence?
