2nd valve adjustment question? where to buy?
#3
When I adjusted my valves I got the shims from the Yamaha dealer. My buddy works there and he gave me the WHOLE frickin case of shims and he said use what you need and bring them back..... At $10 a piece there had to be at least $1000 worth of shims in there. Good thing the rest of the guys didn't find out about it! lol.

You have to get the old shim out of the round colinder. You will see a grove on one side, use something sharp to pop out the shim, mic it out with a micrometer and then find one that is the size you need and put it back in. If you are tight on clearance, you have to get a shim that is smaller than the one you took out. Go to the glamis dunes website, there are detailed instructions on how to do a valve adjustment.
