i was just getting done setting the cams, when i went to put the chain tentioner on and i broke the bottem bolt that goes through the tentioner and into the cam bridge.How important is that bolt, maybe im wrong but the bottem bolt didnt seem like it did a whole lot. thanks

 

That sounds like the guide between the cams, not the tensioner. I think I'd try to replace it to be on the safe side.

 

you should never take chances when it comes to engine work. Also the manual calls for medium strength lock tite on those bolts.

 

if memory serves me correctly, i believe it is medium strength
