I have tried 2" , 2.5" and finally 3" outlets. They all work good, but I really liked my 3" outlet endcap.

Bigger.

How did you design a spark arrestor for it, or did you just run with out one?? Did you just run straight pipe out the back or flare it or what?? do any of you have pictures??

Thanks

when I do mine I'm not going to us a spark arrester, as for how I am going to cut a 3'' hole in the cap then weld in a piece of pipe that sticks out of the end cap like an inch, and have it sticking in like a 1/2 and inch, unless someone has a better idea and shares it before this weekend

When you take off the stock end cap you will see a screen that holds in the packing that runs all the way down the muffler. If i was to make one i would cut the hole so its just a tad smaller then the screen, just enough to keep it in there. I'm not sure how wide that would make the outlet but 3 inches sounds pretty close.

Mustang, You want to see one that's been modified? My old bike ran very strong with it, picked up about a gear over stock. I felt after comparing to some of the high $$ pipes out there, it out preformed them, just looked ugly.

i'm just about to mod my end cap too. i'm using a 3" pipe. i going to have it stick about 2-3" out from the end of the cap and flush on the inside of the cap. is it going to be ALOT louder or just a little bit louder??

See I don't need one but a buddy of mine has been talking about it for a while now and I am going to be doing some work up at a friends shop that has all kinds of metal working tools and I was thinking that I might try and hook my friend up with a modified end cap. Dasandbomb send me a pic of yours if you have one. So that I can give my friend an idea of what we are going to do.
