new ds motors?

just talked to my dyno guy here in town, and he said he has the right stuff to remap the program from kms's efi fuel map!! that was the one of the big issues i had with going turbo was the recalabration for my motor and having to drive 2000 miles and have it on kms dyno. so just a low compression piston and i'm ready. check is in the mail

What compression are you currently running? What fuel are you planning on running with the turbo?
Kelly suggested that going back to the 12:1 if I wasn't planning on running more than about 15psi on methanol would be a good thing. I was at 10:1 so I'm going back up. I also think the the 760 would be a great turbo motor, keep it!

15lbs of boost with 12:1 piston, wow! that's pushing it. you'd want to run alcohol for sure.
the turbo will be fighting with the static compression generating heat.
the lower the static compressiion and the higher the boost, the more power with less problems.

Jeff:
Sounds like you have made up your mind but. . .
If you don't mind waiting. . . keep your eyes on eBay and you will find engines every once and a while. There was a guy the first of the year that was doing the same thing Bigger is thinking about and parted out all unneeded parts.
I have an almost complete bottome end so, you would just need a jug, piston and head but. . . probably not the direction you are looking to go.
My buddy has a Ron Wood Stage Three with Ron Wood port work but, stock valve size and he is looking to go to the 760 in the future but, don't think he is ready right now and not sure how mcuh $$ you would be looking to get.
I don't ride in anyting but, sand so if I were to do it I would keep the 760 and put the Turbo on a larger bore with no stroke. Would be great to have two fast bikes

majorecho you just made my day!!! if i could keep my 12.1 piston that would be great i run 110 octane race gas. i missed a call from kelly last night and that was one of my questions. i don't intend to run alot of boost i think that with my 760 and 10psi of boost it will run real strong on gas, and still be rideable. i do think that my new #4 pami race cams have to much overlap for the turbo (just paid $1000 for) so i'll have to change them out oh well thats better than changing out the piston (after finally getting the head hasket sorted out no hurry to rip back apart). waiting on a call from kelly to finish up the order and get it all coming can't wait!!!!!!

WOW that is handy!!! looks like about 10psi max with 12.1 piston. i know in my drag car i went up to 8.1 pistons and jumped from 8psi to 23psi (prochager blower) and the static ratio went up to 15.1 under boost. i might have to get a drum of 115 octane, but looks like about 10 psi is max.
