Default Opening the engine

Hi
I have a ds650 2000 stock (k and n filter) and I'm going to have to open the engine\transmission pretty soon. I have to change my shifting forks.

My question is : Since my engine\transmission are going to be all tear apart, is there anything that I should change or upgrade ?

Thanks

While you have the cases split stuff them full of MONEY(really pack it in their), and when you put it all back to gether it will be faster than ever!

LOL. (j/k)

inspect your gears, and make sure that your shifting doggs are not rounded off. If they are it is worth sending them off and having them back-cut (around 150.00 fo 1st,2nd, and 3rd) if they look to be in good shape then just replace the shifting forks. Oh and if you ever think that you would want a Stroked crank, NOW would be the time to take that plung.
