Default 450r VS. DS650

My first experience with the 450 at the river last weekend. Ive got a modded DS on alky, Raptor thats piped and jetted and a Banshee with pipes and reeds. We run at the river anywhere from 100 yds to as far as you want to. Id ridden all 3 and was getting used to the Banshee when the 450 linned up. We both know the rider has a lot to do with it but my Banshee is slow and I spanked him. Start to finished he was never even near me. It was stock with no mods at all. As for the 400ex that beats Raptors. My Raptors never been beat by a 440ex and there are alot of those around here. Dont get me wrong Im a DS guy but Im just telling the facts. Raptors are fast. My buddy just bought a 450 and hes a great rider so Ill have a little more info later. By the way I just got the new 4wheel atv action and the shoot-out between the YFZ450 and the TRX450 was pretty good. Looks like the edge goes to the YFZ. DRAGS were fairly close. YZF 9.40sec at 125 yrds and the TRX 9.56 sec. Only about a sec difference on a natural terrain course. Its a good article. The DS vs TRX is like comparing apples to oranges. Just my 2 cents

I'm not sure if you were referring to the information I had posted about the 400ex and the raptor. If so, let me clarify.
100 yard drag on the Beach
Friend 1- Totally stock Raptor
Friend 2- FMF, airbox, jet

The stock raptor always beats the slightly modded 400ex by 3-4 quad lengths in the drag.

I was just saying that with the HRC kit and 13 T front sprocket, my 450R was beating the slightly modded 400EX by 20 or more bike lengths. I would say it was damn close to 1/3rd of the total drag distance. I know it sounds like horsecrap, but I was there. Honestly, the power is a bit scary coming from a slighty modded 400EX myself.

RoughRider01,

Take a look at my pictures in my link in my signature. Pictures #11 and 12 - I think someone screwed up, pretty bad. So messing up some $8,000 tires is bad, & might be considered a bad day or week, right? I bet this got someone fired...

Great pics! Yah, i would think someone would be in trouble after that. We have safety meetings once a week and get shown pictures like that all the time, usually not that severe. We blow a loader or haul truck tire atleast once a week, its pretty common. I only blew two in three years so that isnt too bad.

Heres some of the heavy equipment that i run out there. The 990s are my favorite, pretty easy to run and doesnt take a toll on your body like the komatsu does. Two 990's load the trains, the komatsu digs in the bank and loads the 777's.

komatsu WA800
Cat 990
Cat 777

I always thought it would be cool to work in a mine like that for a while. I've always been a fan of big equipment.

Here are some really good pics I got in the email about a bad day at work, like that F-350 and the heavy truck:
Bad Day at Work
I think the first one is the best!
