Had my DS out at Glamis for the first time over the weekend.
Gotta say, its 1 fun dune machine.
I rode several other DS's and noticed
mine has allot more vibration coming from the motor.
Anything I should look for? It wasnt the paddles.
Just looking for ideas......

i have an 03 baja ds, while my friends have an 00 regular ds, and i can feel the vibration a LOT more in their machine.... (dont know why)

what year is yours? (didnt know if when you said first time out if you bought new or used)

 

Sorry, bought a used 01.

 

hmmm.... i know the grips between the two made a big difference, but that obviously only changes what you feel in your hands/arms....

are there some rubber bushings/spacers on the motor mount that break down after time maybe?

hopefully someone knows, would be interesting to find out what is the prob... (sorry im not much help, heh)

 

Last summer, my friend jumped on my old DS (03) and i jumped on his, an 00 DS. His vibrated ALOT more than mine, maybe its just cuz its older and somethings just loosen up over the years. I dont know, but i could definetley tell his had alot more vibration.

 

check the upper motor mounts.
