Brandon, I have the Barnett carbon fiber clutches and run the Valvoline ATV oil. No problems yet.....but you probably ride 10 times more than me!!!LOL I talked with several people with high-power quads (DS's..of course!) and it seems that the Valvoline and the Hondaline HP4 were favorites. The Hondaline was WAY expensive (about 7.00 a quart) and our "dealer" here in Paris only had 1 quart at the time. I went with the Valvoline. Two dollars and something at Autozone and they keep it stocked!

Did you put it on them at the river Sunday?

I think it was Scooby who tested the Hona HP4 and was very not-impressed with it's results.

Everyone thinks I am crazy but I run the factory synthetic oil. I really trust it because I had about 250 hours of very hard use on it before the stock clutch started slipping. I truly believe that if bombardier can build the lear jet they can make a good oil for quads. You can also look at a post from a couple weeks ago and scooby gives some advise on what kind of oil not to run.

Burglett,

Take a look at a Thread Scooby started about oils - he tested Klotz oil and found it to be a very poor performing out as far as viscosity & engine protection. He had to pull the oil out early, and was so suprised by the results he retested and got the same results a second time.

Here is the link, be sure to read the first sentence of his post! If you have additional info you should post some in that thread.

I run Klotz and the end side of my engines look new plus they run cooler. Klotz does have different oils.

I guess I don't make enough power for any one to listen to me.
